This is basically unbelievable. I guess in this day of reality driven television which has dominated for the past few years, then
ConvinceMe is in the right place in the right time. I always thought the place to have these battles of debate were in forums and comments. I guess I was wrong.
The thing that really is funny though, is that there are other sites about to come out soon. Now the internet is about to go through it’s own reality driven sites. I mean seriously, can’t you just argue or debate the old way? Is that just too demanding on the every day surfer?
Technically Speaking, I will admit it looks interesting. I would say it is borderline material for another place, but since I’m about to fall asleep, we will just leave it at that. ConvinceMe just launched and hopefully they will convince me.

Here is a great blog post. This is probably the best thing I have read in the last 24-48 hours. As you know, I’m probably a good person to tell you that. I read a ton of things each and every day. It has nothing to do with technology, or Web 2.0. It has to be the thing that drives me day in and day out. I believe in myself.
I left a comment on that blog. The story is true. I was asked the dreaded, “Where do you see yourself in 5 years.” question. Every corporate type, those that hire, always ask that question. How do you answer it?
My answer? It went something like this – “In 5 years I want to walk through that door of this bar and I want people to look and go “Wow, that is Rex Dixon“. ” To be quite honest, in 2007 I will be working for myself. Doing this, and a few other internet related ventures. I will make a living at it.
Technically Speaking, I am tired of waiting for someday. Someday is now. Someday is 2007 for Rex Dixon.

It appears to me that even though it was talked about early on by Steve Rubel, the WTF thing would die. It has not. That’s okay that Technorati tried and pulled back. Maybe there were to many already perceived connotations that we all have pointed out about the three letters W – T – F.
Technically Speaking, all I can say is Give Me A Friggin’ Break. WTF will re-appear on Technorati. It’s a great marketing ploy, almost as good as some that I have come up with in my band past, and my current web 2.0 persona.

I was sent this
link earlier today. I looked at it, and I’ll admit it’s kind of funny if you are into poop humor. I mean like real dog poop. The real deal from what I can tell. Anyways, nice photography, great imagination, thinking outside of the box and good for a quick look. If you are not into poop humor, pass clicking the links above.
Technically Speaking, this is definitely classified as Give Me A Friggin’ Break! A funny one, with maybe a shake of the head and a laugh, but definitely GMAFB!

Google’s their profits were higher then expected. Want to see how much more money they made?
Google shares fell more than 3 percent to $484.83 after the company reported total revenue growth that was largely in line with Wall Street expectations, despite some investor hopes of an upside surprise.
Net income for the fourth quarter grew to $1.03 billion, or $3.29 per share, compared with $372.2 million, or $1.22 per share in the year-earlier quarter.
Gross revenue rose 67 percent to $3.21 billion. The figure includes $976 million in traffic acquisition costs (TAC), the financial cut that affiliated Web sites receive for featuring Google advertising.
Technically Speaking, that is a lot of money for a company that started out as just another search engine.

I was just discussing the meaning of KISS with my other two writers this afternoon in e-mail. KISS, not the band, but more like – Keep It Simple Stupid. 6 Degrees does that, and it all starts with that simple game that everyone has played before.
Technically Speaking, simple sells, and I hope the charities will benefit from Kevin Bacon’s idea for this great new site.
