Kumomo, is a
site that is very new, but also relates into the concept of CPT (Cost Per Term) advertising. I mentioned a little bit about this concept yesterday as what I see as the better alternative to Google’s PPA ad model announcement.
This is what they do. When you first go there, you have a search engine looking area where you can search. I tried that at first, but that is really not where you should be as a web site owner or blogger. The concept is really simple. If you have the space, you let advertisers know. In turn, advertisers come there to buy the space you have for their ads. For those selling ad space, such as myself, you need to simply sign up right here. Another site that is doing CPT is of course AdVolcano, but they are not doing the below donation angle.
Now the really cool thing about Kumomo, especially in this day of high dollar internet greed, is that they are very socially conscious. They are doing what some other sites that I have actually worked on in the past few weeks are doing. What they want to do is help a charity.
In this case, it’s called – Kumomo Tree. The first charity they are trying to raise $13,000 for is the Rural Schools Project, which has helped to build over 300 enriched primary and lower secondary schools in rural Cambodia since 1999. If you would like to know more about the whole concept of what Kumomo Tree is, then you must read this short informational page.
This site is very new folks. You won’t find it on the meter, and it’s only been online for two weeks. They have however worked on it for six months now. It is a great concept in internet advertising. With just a few web sites, and a few advertisers, this Kumomo Tree will grow. The person who contacted me on this, named Pin, is building this project on their own funding.
