Everyone has a map somewhere. With the Google Map API, it seems like everyone from the next twitter mash up to chat services are using maps as part of their presentation. It’s not a bad idea to follow.
I was about to call it a quick morning, when I found a new service where you can map your name. It’s called Map My Name. It’s in beta, but it looks to be gaining some users. I don’t have the time to go into detail this morning on what it is. In fact I don’t even have the time to sign up right now. Give this one a look, as there is a video introduction to the service.
Mapping is being put into different services, and I don’t think it is something that is really new. Columbus mapped the world in 1492. He sailed the sea blue. Proved this planet was round and not square of flat. I think the mapping craze is just being taken to the next level.
I don’t believe that sound is what I’d like to see next as some are thinking. I am thinking more like live satellite real time shots would be the way to go. Expensive, but maybe not. The internet, well Google, has a lot of money. This would be a worthwhile stab at taking mapping to the next level beyond where it is now. Live real time satellite streaming maps.
Technically Speaking, out of time for now!
