Hammer, don’t hurt them…

I’m quite disappointed in the reaction to MC Hammer being announced for Mike Arrington’s TechCrunch 20 review panel. I mean why is it that a even the progressive online rag, ValleyWag has to stoop to this level??

Hammer, don’t hurt them…

Why is that when people who have been down, always seem to get stomped on by people again? I mean it’s bad enough that he has to take this abuse from the music industry still. The man did many things that entrepreneurs can learn from. Yes, he can relate his share of mistakes as we all have heard live on the “behind the music” episode.

Beyond that, he can tell you things that you don’t know. He can maybe inspire you to be a better person if nothing else. Just because the majority of people perceive him as a joke, doesn’t mean you have to just follow the trolls to the drop off the cliff.

You are never to old to learn. You should never be all about yourself to stop a moment to listen. MC Hammer has seen more things, been to more places, and basically has my respect. Anyone that has “Been There, Done That” like Hammer has, you should just listen and learn. If you learn nothing, then that’s fine. Give the man respect.

Technically Speaking, if I was in San Francisco, I’d go see and listen to the man. He has “Been There, Done That, Better Then YOU!”. Yes, that is my catch phrase on my MySpace page, but it’s the truth. I really hate it when some people don’t know when to “sit down, listen, and shut the F up; know their role“.
