monitwitter, a web site monitor via twitter…

monitwitter.PNGmonitwitter - This is nothing new, a web site monitoring tool. Just like Pingdom, but only you receive your up and down notifications via twitter. In other words, the power of twitter. More like the spreading globally of twitter.

How global is twitter? Well I read the article, and I like to see the comments on what people are saying. Funny enough, there was another web site (3rd article down) that already covered this and didn’t receive credit.

I had to check that out, as I don’t like it when sites do the same to me. I usually leave it alone, but it is frustrating knowing you were the first to break something, and then see all the usual players writing about it with no credit given.

I do understand the fact that everyone saw the article at the same time, but there are times when I go back in and give link backs to sites that wrote the same article. Case in point was the other day. I saw this and wrote, and then saw two other sites later after I wrote my piece so I gave credit where credit was due.

One problem here about this web site that wanted credit, the people at most of the web sites I frequent for news do not read Chinese (could be Kanji or Japanese; but I can’t read that either!). It does prove how global twitter is. How much power they hold now, and we will be seeing more mash up or twitter’mashes coming soon. The number of companies that can be formed on the twitter platform is quite astounding. You just have to think outside the box in order to come up with something.

Technically Speaking, twitter is a natural extension of blogging. Not only that, but it’s another way to capitalize on the internet. Create something twitter today, and I bet you are hit this week.
