I think that now that Apple was gamed the other day, and it affected their stock prices. This might become the new generation hacking experience. Why destroy a web site? Old and lame. Why spam? Very old, very lame. Why not take all that knowledge and start gaming the real world?
Apple learned the hard way the other day. Engadget had to go with a full page explanation on how it was gamed. I’m thinking though, that this may not be the last of the fun for the hacking community. In fact, I believe that gaming the real world will prove to be more challenging then defacing or spamming.
Now am I condoning such actions? No, I’m only stating a fact that we all witnessed with Apple’s stock price plunge. If one simple e-mail that looks legit can start a stock tumble, think about the implications this means for other games that could be played. This proves that the mainstream is still behind the prime time players on the internet. So far behind, that gaming it will become a way of life for some.
Technically Speaking, these are all just private observations and I am not sanctioning any such games to be played. Just pointing out the facts that it probably will happen.
