The issue I have with online mapping..

All mapping services use the same set of maps downloaded from the satellite imagery office. My question to all of them is, “When are you going to get updated maps?”

I don’t care how great your service might be. It’s good as a matter of fact, but your output data is only as good as the data or pictures you have. The one that I see is about 2.5 years old. How do I know this?

Back in 2005 the street I live on was re-done. It had sidewalks installed, repaved, regraded for drainage, and none of this is shown. You should at least only be about 6 months to 1 year old I would think. Instead this map that I see as “current” is from 2005 winter; probably about January or February.

Technically Speaking, we all love the advantage of never having to buy a map again, but let’s make them as up to date as possible.
