I have been busy today doing the social media person gig, but I just was tipped off on some breaking b’ls news. My investigative blogging buddy over there at CN (Allen Stern) has made an astonishing discovery.
Back in 1998 while the days of the internet were still in it’s early dot boom phase, it appears that Mahalo, the new Jason Calacanis human search wrecking machine was none other then — A PORN SITE!
Yes, Allen dug into the way back machine, December 3, 1998, a day that will live in infamy!
Ok, let me first say, Jason – I’m only just having to post this because it’s actually funny. I want to address the comments you left yesterday for me.
1. No, I didn’t grow up with you or know you personally. I just have a pretty good inside source on where you grew up.
2. I’m glad to see that you addressed the comments made by Allen for your site.
3. I do wish your service the best of luck. I just think that there are other “human search” engines out there, and as you already said your humans are manually entering the search data; you are already behind the other ones currently out there.
Technically Speaking, I thought the find by CN was rather humorous. No serious implications apply!
