Travello - It appears to be in a sign up for more information role at this time. Here is what they say about themselves:

Tripmonkey - Another German site with a monkey twist. Or is that monkey business? In anycase, it looks to be alive and operational. Here is what they have to say:

Hmmmm… that sounds a bit like Hosteling or something.
Technically Speaking, there are other travel type of communities coming very soon. I hope sooner than later, as this seems like a new niche to fill – Travel Social Networks!
