Nicholas III, the bombastic co-founder and former chief executive of semiconductor chip maker Broadcom, was indicted Thursday in California on various charges, including spiking the drinks of industry executives with ecstasy and maintaining several residences from 1999 to 2005 that were used to distribute and sell other drugs, including cocaine and methamphetamine.
