Newsroom LIVE – Real News in Realtime
UPDATE: To free up your tab space in your browser, use an IRC stand alone client. It’s been awhile since I had one, but here is one for Mac OSX called X-Chat Aqua – and of course – for PC users – mIRC has been around forever! Enjoy!
Newsroom LIVE is a site I happened to come across this morning.
If you don’t have enough breaking news to keep you satisfied, this site will keep you updated in real time, and LIVE. They have an IRC chat running on their main page, and of course you can follow them on twitter. The twitter isn’t annoying like you think it would be. The IRC chat on the main page is where most of the actual news stories are placed.
You can access #Newsroom on IRC at: irc.othernet.org. They have their page of information right here on what is acceptable, etc.
Technically Speaking, if you are a news junkie you should check this site out. Also, if you are looking for a way to track links on twitter, you need to grab a free MicroPlaza beta invites here – limited number of invites!
