As I alluded too in my last post, here is the video of Scorpio doing his impersonation of Michael Jackson at the RiverCity Rage divisional playoff win over the Maryland Maniacs last Saturday 7/25/09.

The IFL United Conference championship game is set for next week in Wichita now.

The RiverCity Rage won last night’s Atlantic division championship game in convincing fashion over the Maryland Manics, 55-31 – and were leading 35-7 at the half. Half time included a Michael Jackson impersonator named Scorpio.

Here are a few pics of Scorpio performing at halftime. I actually took a short video where you can hear the person behind me going crazy about it. Quite interesting to hear in person the fanaticism that MJ brought out in people!

I have some game pictures that I haven’t uploaded, and these were taken with the iPhone. You can obviously tell by the quality of the images.

Technically Speaking, indoor football is really fun to watch live and it was nice watching a local pro football team win and advance to their conference championship game!

I just finally offloaded some pics I had sitting around on my iPhone. This one below I posted on my tumblr blog just a few moments ago. Yes, this is for real, taken while stopped at a light!

Lastly, I went to this River City Rage indoor football game back on June 20th as a last minute thing to do one Saturday. I totally loved it! I’m more about football any day of the week than any other sport.

Now they are in the playoff’s and they get a home 2nd round playoff game this weekend – tomorrow night. I already have my tickets for that. Here a couple of pics I took last month.

Oh and it appears there is some Michael Jackson tribute show at half time by someone named Scorpio. Interesting. Hey, it’s the IFL and it’s the playoff’s!

Yes, I found this on the blog that never sleeps, the Inquisitr. If you already are not at least a RSS reader of the blog like I am, you should be. Sometimes they’ll even throw you a bone of softcore NSFW porn; depending on what your view of NSFW is!

I do wonder where people find the time though to do fun projects like this?

The last contest on here seemed to generate not many hashtag comments as well as not many participants, this one is just a simple question I have.

It seems like there are two sides of the fence to Austin, TX. One side loves the place, and the other side say it’s the most boring place on the planet. I have also read a tip that it’s not very good to visit in July/August.

My bud who is also known as Church Tongue said the few people from Chicago that has traveled to Austin, TX have told him that the place is not worth the time and is boring. The contention is that while it’s suppose to be some sort of mecca like music capital, it is also been said to only occur on one street down there (6th street from what I hear).

The question here is,”How do you feel about Austin, TX or rather do you feel Austin, TX is cool place to live/visit or does the place suck?” You can reply via twitter and the hashtag of #trashyaustin. It’s more fun if you use twitter to respond to this, and responses can simply be like this “cool, love the music, best city in the world #trashyaustin” – “sucks, I got robbed in Austin, safe in Chicago! #trashyaustin” – you know something short and sweet < 140 characters for twitter.

This time, I’ll even take the comments that are associated with a blog post right below. That’s fine – but rather would see this stream be taken to the hashtag of #trashyaustin on twitter.

Now of course since twitter is like porn sometimes with the < 140 character limit, if you leave a comment here on this post – feel free to be very detailed on why or why not Austin, TX.

Technically Speaking, while I am not giving away FREE T-Shirt this time, I would like to see some opinions!

You know you have $5 sitting in your PayPal account. You could buy some new iTunes with it. You could even possibly buy porn with it. Why not just do something flat out selfless today and end this Friday on a feel good note.

My former co-worker Todd Sawicki and his wife are trying to raise $500 for some people in Kenya who could simply end up dead due to malaria. How do you help prevent this from happening? Well you start out with simple steps such as malaria nets.

My wife, Katie, and I are trying to raise $500 in a week to help our parish priest, and native Kenyan, provide 100 families in rural Kenya with anti-malarial mosquito nets for their children. We know times are tough economically, but even a small donation of just $5 – roughly your daily triple, non-fat, caramel machiatto – can buy a mosquito net that will keep families safe from malaria carrying mosquitoes.

We are hoping many of you choose to donate $5 for a net (and hopefully more), but please donate what you can, any amount puts us closer to giving a family a life saving tool. It’s important to note that 100% of the money we raise will go directly to buying the nets. No overhead, no wasted donations. Just money to save the lives of poor children in rural, western Kenya from the malaria.

As of this morning, the experiment with the twitter hashtag has been a big #FAIL. No worries, many of you are probably asking “Why Church Tongue?”. Well it’s a friend of mine’s experimental gothic music mix send up. He asked me to help him promote the page, and I said, “Sure, why not.” Church Tongue isn’t your ordinary band or even your run of the mill music offering. That is exactly the point of it!

I know that those who have listened to the tracks probably have an opinion. If they saw the tweet on twitter or even not, they could easily leave an opinion with the hashtag system. That is all that Church Tongue is asking for. Right now, there is exactly ONE opinion - and looks like @klasinski is going to win the $25 eGift Card from RizzoTees by default. Quite sad.

I thought that the tweeps out there would have an opinion. I watch people be opinionated daily via twitter.
