Yes, another installment of amateur coding script writer hour again. What is this new thing I’ve come up with?
Well as you know my last item – Check Site for Google Analytics – is kind of useful if you are looking at a site to see if it has more than one Google Analytics tracker code on it.
But after that, what else can you do with it? Nothing. That’s it. Does one job and one job alone. I even just fixed it up a bit the other day with a supposed bug found, but on closer look, it was the site that had broken code which basically unintentionally or maybe intentionally “hides” the Google Anlytics code. But it forced my hand to re-code it, as I wanted to do it differently anyways. With that change being done, Check Site for Google Analytics is now on version 0.1.1.
What cool things does this new page do – See What A-C-Q Sez?
It grabs Alexa, Compete, and Quantcast views (screenshots, full page) of the site. Useful if you are looking at a site, and want it all pulled into one spot/page. Plus if you want to drill deeper into the data presented by any of those services, you can easily click the associated images which are linked to the site’s page.
This new item I just put together was a little more time consuming in getting to work. It’s actually kind of cool, but a bit slow as I’m relying on a 3rd party site to do the processing on my “free account“.

Personally though, I’d rather help support that small company which just so happens to be in San Jose, so in essence – we are neighbors on the peninsula. Better to support the small companies if we can.
Oh one thing – if you do use the tool just to check it out, please scroll to the bottom and even if you don’t want to look at another site, please select “no” so it can do some house keeping clean up scripts I run. Of course if you want to view another site, by all means click “yes“, it will do the clean up but take you back to the main screen.
