What is this Tango ‘n Cash Encoding thing?

It’s just a fun project I did when I was going to create my own PHP encoding page, but just ended up doing this fun page. I did find a site that offers encoding of php that seems to work.

It’s free, so if anyone needs to have that good feeling after working on some code for awhile and want to secure it a tad bit from prying eyes with some php page encoding.  Of course if someone really wants your secret sauces, trust me, they’ll get it.

This Tango ‘n Ca$h Encoding will encode items of text like passwords, small phrases  (only because I left the character input to 40), etc…  You’ll be given the Tango ‘n Scramble version of the text.  You can then copy that down and come back later to decode it if need be with the decode “Ca$h ‘n Da Code” button.

It’s using simple PHP base64_encode and base64_decode, so it’s not like all blowfish (should that be blowhard??) DES, AES encryption like Fort Knox on steroids or anything.  I was doing some reading, but no time left today to make this a more blowhard secure coding fun project. Just a fun little project to kill some time because I have to drive soon, and I can’t drink beer!!

The lack of an early beer on a Saturday has given me time to do some scripting and coding.  If you like it, leave some feedback, etc… Also, if you missed my earlier coding thing I did – which was basically taking the two projects I’ve been working on for a little over a month total time (mostly a few weekend hours here and there) and mashing them into one usable page – you should visit – Site Checking System (version 0.2 FTW!)
