WooMe Has A ThreeWay to Give Away for Valentine’s Day

February 12th, 2010 Rex Dixon Comments

WooMe has a promotion running for Valentine’s day:

For the price of a tweet, WooMe is giving away an e-guide that will allow SINGLES to embrace Valentine’s Day as much as COUPLES do this year by giving them a play-by-play how-to guide on how to score a threesome.

While the rest of the world is focused on glorifying COUPLES this Valentine’s Day, WooMe is highlighting the benefits of being SINGLE by bringing you a how-to guide for a “taboo” practice generally accepted for SINGLES but not for COUPLES (well OK, that’s debatable). Hopefully our guide will allow SINGLES to embrace Valentine’s Day as much as COUPLES do this year! Check out the guide HERE

Valentine’s Day is typically considered a celebration of relationships, love, romance and monogamy throughout the world. COUPLES spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars proving to loved ones, themselves and the world exactly how much they care about their significant others, often showering them with gifts, chocolate, flowers, candy hearts, stuffed animals, overpriced sparkly rocks and cars with giant novelty bows. Unfortunately for SINGLES, Valentine’s Day is yet another reminder of society’s emphasis on relationships and its implicit scorn of the “single lifestyle” which can include dating, partying, casual non-committed relationships or simply enjoying life with a Japanese full-size body pillow.

As a site dedicated to helping people meet other people through LIVE video webcam chat for either long lasting relationships or casual friendships, WooMe.com believes both COUPLES and SINGLES should enjoy Valentine’s Day.

NYC: Here I come!

Midtown Manhattan, New York City, from Rockefe...

New York, New York, is everything they say
And no place that I’d rather be
Where else can you do a half a million things
All at a quarter to three

The above quoted lines comes from the old Huey Lewis song “The Heart of Rock and Roll“. The past few months have been quite interesting, and while I was actually wondering about how I went from possibly being in LA to not being in LA, to maybe out of a job again, somehow it ended up that it won’t be LA but it will rather be NYC. For those keeping score, Adquotient who is owned by Atrinsic (NASDAQ:ATRN) is where I’ll be.

This all came up rather suddenly for myself as well as the other remaining team member who is currently in LA after our team members in Australia decided to stay down under. We both will be arriving next week Sunday (10/4/09) in NYC and kicking it at the 7th Ave office on Monday morning 10/5/09. We have both had about < 10 days to get ready for this, so we are totally stressed and making the best of a quick cross country moving event. Needless to say, it’s pretty much the clothes on our back for the moment.

Technically Speaking, if you have any questions or a sublet/rental opportunity to send my way, ping me on any of the available channels you have me on!

What About All Of This I Hear?

It’s that time of the year here in the #STL that usually wouldn’t be a problem, but this year due to some unforeseen circumstances, didn’t hire a yard crew. Now that spring is fully here, and some other unforeseen events, looks like it will only be for a short time anyways.

As many of you have read, I took the job out in Los Angeles with ShopitMedia as their Director of Publisher Management as announced here.

Some of you may be scratching their heads as you may have also seen this earlier post on RWW about another position I recently took with Bit.ly in a consulting role as their Community Manager.

No confusion. The Bit.ly gig was only a part time opportunity which I’m still doing at least for the current time being. The ShopitMedia gig is full time. Also, note that Shopit is the main company. Lot’s of interesting stuff they offer, so you may want to check that out if you aren’t looking for traditional banner advertising.

And what about the siliconANGLE blog? Oh yeah, I’m still doing that also! Just not as much as I use too, but I contributed an article there this week. I also participated in several different threads over there, as that is what we want to see – other people’s angles via the commenting! Also – We still need more regular contributors to sign up! We already have had many new names show up in the past week, but we can always use other angles!

Technically Speaking, you have been updated, and now some yard work awaits me!

Catching up, but SOB!

While I had a very successful trip to Los Angeles, of course I am a bit behind and just finally getting around to catching up on my RSS feeds. I found this video below that is just a pure LOL / ROFL video. Great way to break up a rather busy morning. Of course, found where else? On the blog that never sleeps!

Technically Speaking, the trip to LA did in fact land me a new full time gig as – Director of Publisher Management at Shopit.com.
