After a year of it being on the market, I happen to be in Target last night looking for a $10 DVD cleaner and ended up walking out with (Nintendo smart marketing tactics – the price hasn’t dropped in over a year!) $89.99 WiiFit. They are not that hard to find nowadays, as I saw 5 of them at a BestBuy a few weeks back. Last evening at Target there was exactly ONE. I summoned the electronics person to unlock the case.
Last night I plugged it in to get my initial body test, and yeah, I could have told you I was overweight and out of shape! Didn’t need the board to tell me that. I figured I’d start the actual exercise part tomorrow (today).
Today, I figured it was time to get in some sort of routine and give it a go. Did I look like the below pictures? Somewhat. I went through each exercise one time to give me a full WiiFit run through. The nice thing, I was able to unlock extra exercises and games. That was cool, so more for tomorrow to try.
Technically Speaking, we’ll see how this works or even motivates me to do other things, such as play some corkball if it ever stops raining!
First off – Happy Cinco De Mayo! Kind of cool that it falls on a Tuesday this year. >:-? If you didn’t know, a little while back a twitter friend of mine said something to the effect of “I guess my sarcasm didn’t come through on twitter?” It didn’t. So I stated, “You should have an emoticon that depicts sarcasm!” That is when I came up with >:-? for her. I now use it all the time when I’m being sarcastic.
What is this new twitter use? For quite a bit now, I have had a contact form on this blog’s contact page. I have also had it on another page which I call Advertise. Both have been great annoying harbors of stupid ridiculous spammers. I tried another form this morning, which just had more spammers hit it almost immediately. That is when the tweet-god went off in my head. “Why not just tell people to connect with me via an @ or DM on twitter?
Technically Speaking, the above isn’t a ground breaking twitter use idea, but for me – at least with twitter I have more control over who follows, who I follow, who I can outright block, and who I converse with via @ or DM. While not ground breaking, twitter just solved a spam problem for me. Feel free to share this idea with others!
Technically Speaking, if you remember watching the Monkees in first run on television – you’re old! Even if you watched them in first or second re-run, you might be a bit up there!
Woo hoo! The lovely FAIL whale is back! I just received this moments ago on twitter. Must be a busy morning of tweeters out there. With members of congress on board, such as Missouri’s own Claire McCaskill (an active tweeter!), as well as the mayor of San Francisco – twitter isn’t the quiet new kid on the block any longer. Also nice to know that Claire actually does her own tweeting!
