A good post to read if you have blogging burnout:

So there you are spending every waking moment on your blog, searching through the mass of information sites trying to find something interesting to blog about, even setting up search terms via TweetDeck for your twitter to see what’s going on.

But you ever take the time out and think to yourself that you could seriously get “blogger burnout” a point where you can sit in front of your computer and your blog posts are just erratic post or your blogging skills just start to go that lackluster that you stop posting for weeks at a time.

This has probably happened to a lot of bloggers, specially those that have been blogging for a short time and just do nothing but blog!

If you do get to the point of you are sitting in front of your computer and you have nothing, not even the title of a blog post, then what should you do, well the first thing you should do is turn your computer off and go and do something else.

Find some Blogging Inspiration

Go out for a walk, call a friend or family member, read a book, watch a bit of TV, it’s all up to you what you do, but staying away from the computer will really help, not only will it relax you and let your mind roam for a while, but you may even find some blogging inspiration from what you are doing, but, and this is a big but, as soon as you get that inspiration back, DO NOT sit in front of your computer straight a way, this is a major no, no.

Instead always have a small notepad and pencil with you and jot down your ideas and work from them, this way you may see something else even more inspiring for you to blog about and even something that will turn into that elusive blogging materpiece

Technically Speaking, always read more …

Twitter has been on steroids over the past few weeks. Interesting enough, it was about 2 years ago right before SXSW that twitter fully took off. I hadn’t even signed up for an account until right about the time before SXSW 2 years ago. Interestingly enough, as seen by the below tweets by @marshallk and locally here in the STL @weatherbird we see the full power of twitter. The hardest thing now is like it was the days before e-mail went mainstream. That is convincing the non-twitter users to grab their own twitter account soon. Before long, there will be people that will not be able to have the name they want. Trying to get someone to use twitter shouldn’t be hard since ABC News appears to be fully plugged into twitter, and even the Weatherbird from STLToday is plugged in. It shouldn’t be hard to get people to use twitter, but there are some people that feel it’s still not mainstream enough. If ABC News can use it, I think it is really close being mainstream! Technically Speaking, I’m not watching the speech, just following along via twitter in tweetdeck is fine by me.
